The first two years can be a useful time for students to learn more about a range of areas that could comprise their three components of their degree. While fulfilling their general education and A&S requirements, students can sample a wide variety of disciplines and even start working on a certificate or minor. Talking with faculty and advisors within areas of interest will be useful to learn more about the opportunities in and requirements of the various minors and certificates.

Students are encouraged to review the offerings of minors and certificates within the College of Arts & Sciences and throughout the UC system.
